Q:        Why is it that before I started shopping at Wayne's Daughters and shopped at chain stores,
my plants never grew and stayed the same size all throughout the summer, no matter how
            much TLC I gave them?

A:        At chain stores, they are the middleman so they do not grow their own product, so therefore,
they are getting their products shipped in.  Because they are shipped in, the actual grower
sprays a harsh growth retardant on the plant which stunts a plants growth for 6 to 8 weeks.
This way the product never grows and will always not only look great on the shelf all summer
long, but it will always keep the shipping cost down for the middleman because it won't take
up anymore space.  As for our plants, we refuse to spray harsh chemicals on any of our
plants, which is why when you plant them, they take off like crazy!

Q:        I just starting shopping at  your store and I absolutely love it!! But, I was wondering if there
really are 4 daughters and where the name came from?

A:        Yes, we do get that question a lot, so I'm glad we're answering it!  Yes, there are 4 daughters
and Wayne is their father.  We were first grain farmers, then had a very large produce farm,
and slowly got into flowers which led us to the greenhouse business.  The 4 girls have
worked very hard on the farm since little and they all still work in the business today, with
mom and dad.  They are at the business, along with mom(sandra) and dad(wayne) 7 days a
week, so mom came up with the cute name 'Wayne's Daughters.'  We're a close family and
we're eachother's bestfriend, which makes it a fun and enjoyable working environment!

Q:        I know you guys do all the work yourselves, so that's why you're not open in the winter, but
when is it that you acutally close your stores?

A:        Yes, we are seasonal and we normally are opened from May 1st. through August.  If we do
decide to grow our fall mums, which we've done for the last few years and they are
absolutely phenomenal, we are opened until we sell out which is normally Mid-October.
Our farm location closes after the 4th. of July and we bring all of our over-stock, mainly
perennials, to sell at our city location through August.
